As Halloween marks October’s spooky finish, it’s time to reflect on TVF’s hive of activity to celebrate National Employee Ownership Month like only we can. Let’s explore some of the highlights:
We kicked off October celebrating what The ESOP Association calls “the undeniable benefits” of employee ownership with breakfast prepared at our locations in Carmel and Lebanon, Indiana and Carson, California by our leadership team.
Throughout each Friday, as a showing of unity and respect for our ownership mindset, our team members wore TVF swag or showed off clothing and gear from our 100% employee-owned holding company, Empowered Ventures (EV).
Our TVF Connection Challenged, which paired our employee owners together for Teams calls designed to help us get to know each other a little deeper. The results? Dozens of conversations that brought us all closer together… no matter where we’re located.
A TVF-wide “OWNER” BINGO Challenge saw the debut of BINGO software designed by our own Kelsey Thompson. The winners each received gift cards and rounds of applause from their fellow employee owners.
The crown jewel of all activities of the month was TVF’s participation in the EV Cup, an annual (good-natured) competition among the family of Empowered Ventures companies that includes a Food Drive at our Lebanon, Carmel, and Carson facilities and an employee-ownership-themed meme competition. TVF employee owners generously donated and collected hundreds of pounds of food and hundreds of dollars for local food banks in our communities.
As proud employee owners, our ownership mindset is pervasive in how we support each other and our customers. October offered us an opportunity to celebrate, give back, and reflect on the true meaning of employee ownership.
