As many of you know, the United States and China are engaged in an ongoing trade dispute which has resulted in additional tariffs imposed on both countries. Robert Hinsch, Vice-President, and I traveled to Washington DC last month to speak at a hearing to request that our products be excluded from the tariffs. We recently learned our appeal was rejected. Therefore, starting August 23rd, TVF will be paying an additional 25% tariff on some of the products we import from China, mostly vinyl coated or laminated polyester fabrics.
In the coming months, we will find out if the rest of the products we import from China will be impacted as well. For further information and to learn if the tariffs will impact you we ask that you contact your Sales Consultant.
